Professor Mahmoud Thabet Mahmoud is a Professor and Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery with more than 25 years of clinical, academic, and surgical experience. He obtained his MBBCh (with honors), Master’s degree, and MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt, with doctoral research focusing on human papillomavirus in preinvasive and invasive cervical cancer. He also holds a Professional Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and is licensed by DHA, MOH, SCFHS, and NHRA . He currently serves as Professor and Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Mansoura University Hospital and as Head of Department and Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology and MIS at Al Sharq Hospital, Fujairah, UAE. His clinical expertise includes high-risk obstetrics, conservative management of placenta accreta, gynecologic oncology, ART and ICSI, advanced operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, and fertility-preserving surgical techniques. He has held multiple consultant and leadership roles at Mansoura University Hospital, including long-term involvement in fertility services, early cancer detection, and placenta accreta management units . Professor Thabet is actively involved in medical education, training, and research. He has organized and delivered numerous basic and advanced courses in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, ultrasound, and ART, supervised multiple Master’s and MD theses, and contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate textbooks in obstetrics and gynecology. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics including cervical cancer, placenta accreta, infertility, ART, and maternal-fetal medicine, and regularly participates in national and international scientific conferences .
