Prof. Hend Shalaby specializes in fetal medicine, with over 20 years of experience. She is the President of the Fetal Medicine Unit at Mansoura College of Medicine and Director of the Mansoura Samsung Sonoschool. Her expertise includes screening for fetal anomalies, fetal echocardiography, and managing high-risk pregnancies. She is skilled in advanced diagnostic procedures like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS). She is a member of numerous professional societies, including the Fetal Medicine Foundation (UK), ISUOG, and the Egyptian Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her academic contributions include moderating the Professional Diploma of Fetal Medicine and leading a multidisciplinary team for managing complex fetal cases. Prof. Shalaby has been at the forefront of advancing fetal medicine in Egypt. She has extensive experience with 3D, 4D, and 5D ultrasound modalities for diagnosing fetal and uterine anomalies and has been actively involved in training and mentoring obstetrics and gynecology doctors through workshops and courses. As the Director of the Mansoura Samsung Sonoschool since 2016, she has played a pivotal role in elevating the standards of ultrasound education in the region.
