Professor Louise Hull is a leading gynaecologist and fertility specialist at University of Adelaide, based at the Robinson Research Institute (RRI). Louise graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1991, and provides fertility, endometriosis, adolescent gynaecology and recurrent miscarriage care — helping many couples conceive and supporting young people to manage pelvic pain while safeguarding fertility.Professor Hull was awarded a PhD in endometriosis from University of Cambridge, UK in 2006 before taking up a Senior Lecturer position in Adelaide as a CREI fellow (RANZCOG). She founded the Adelaide Endometriosis Research Group at the Robinson Research Institute and became initially an Associate Professor then Professor in this role. Louise undertakes research on the biology of endometriosis — including formative work on genomics, microRNAs and mouse models, as well as in digital health (EndoZone) and AI-based non-invasive diagnostics for endometriosis (IMAGENDO). She has published more than 100 papers, and has been awarded the most prestigious Eureka Award, the Women in Innovation Technology Award and the Robinson Research Institute’s Director’s Award for her innovations in technology.  Under her leadership, the group currently works on non-invasive diagnosis, novel therapeutics and Phase 1-3 clinical trials, and fertility-preserving treatments. Beyond research, Professor Hull established Embrace Fertility IVF unit and consults at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. She also supervises PhD and medical students, teaches registrars and reproductive-medicine fellows, and contributes to training in her past roles as written exam co-ordinator CREI, President of ANZSREI and as founding Chair of the Special interest Group for Implantation and Chair of the Embryology certification course for ASPIRE. On the national and international stage, she serves as an International Ambassador for the World Endometriosis Society, Chair of the FIGO REI committee and sits on multiple advisory, editorial and professional committees for reproductive medicine and endometriosis in Australia and globally. Through decades of clinical care, cutting-edge research, mentorship and advocacy, Professor Hull has been instrumental in driving advances in diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, improving fertility outcomes and enhancing reproductive health care.
